What you want can radically impact the price of your order.  You can get quick 3d printing quote here.  The rest of this page serves as a starting point for what different fake taxidemy options cost.  Do you dream of a prototype that has features not listed here?  Ask me if I can make your idea a reality.  What animal do you want on your head?  I spent years working for a zoo and a natural history museum so I am quite comfortable with the skull morphology and pelts of a wide range of animals.  If you want to look like a beaver-serker I can make it happen.

SCA combat is very abussive and my war prototype overheated because of running for hours after 2 days of fighting.  I cannot guarantee the durability of the peices that are involved in SCA combat at this time.  A lot of the cheaper options listed here are what I did for my war prototype. The more expenssive options are ways I may be able to improve the durability.

 

Pick your fake skull material

Pick your skin

  • Simple paper mache 150$

  • Fake fur 500$

Most of the cost here is labor.  I had to sew several mock-ups of the BearCam to make the pattern right.  If you asked me to make a wolf skull the pelt to go on top of it will require a skull shaped in a way I have not done yet and a new pattern.

 

Pick your teeth

How’s it going to stay on my helmet?

Pick you other eye

Cloth dot - $0 when I was packing for war I was really rushed to get the prototype done and just put a cloth black dot when the other eye should be.

I calculate the price range to be $340 to $1400 where are the hidden costs? Shipping, Taxes and unlisted custom services will likely increase the cost range to the level listed above.
